Privacy policy

The short version, in four lines

This site uses no cookies and there is no banner to dismiss. Analytics are aggregate and carry no identifier.

The application sends none of your data anywhere. Your projects, your text and your images live on your Mac.

If you connect your ChatGPT account, what you ask for travels to OpenAI — the same as typing it into ChatGPT — and that is your call.

Payment is handled by Gumroad, which is who receives your billing details.

Who handles the data

The controller is David Barahona, tax ID 72401851J, registered at Calle Retuerto 6, 48903 Barakaldo (Bizkaia), España. Contact: hola@davidbarahona.com.

This website

No cookies. This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser's storage. That is why there is no consent notice: there is nothing to consent to.

Analytics. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate without cookies and without creating a visitor identifier. To aggregate that data Cloudflare processes the connection's IP address, but does not store it against the visit. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works and where people arrive from.

Typefaces. They are served from this same domain. No request is made to Google Fonts or any other external font provider, so your IP address never reaches them.

Hosting. The site runs on a dedicated server. Server logs may retain IP addresses for a limited time for security and diagnostics.

Your purchase

Payment is processed by Gumroad, acting as merchant of record. Payment and billing data are collected and handled by Gumroad under its own privacy policy; the seller never sees your card details.

Each purchase supplies the buyer's email address, needed to deliver the licence and to provide support. That is kept for as long as the licence stands and for the periods tax rules require.

The application

PostCreator carries no telemetry. It sends no usage statistics, no automatic crash reports and no data about what you do with it.

Your projects, your brand, your text and your images are stored on your own Mac. There is no user account, no server and no copy in the cloud. Delete the application and they go with you.

The one exception is yours to make: if you connect your ChatGPT account to generate text or images, the content of that request travels to OpenAI for processing, exactly as it would if you typed it into ChatGPT. That relationship is between you and OpenAI and is governed by OpenAI's terms. Without connecting that account, the application does not reach the internet to generate anything.

Your rights

You can request access to, rectification of or erasure of your data, as well as restriction of or objection to its processing, and portability, by writing to hola@davidbarahona.com.

If you believe the processing has not been handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
